AMA Summary March 2022
The AMA done on the 10th of March of 2022 was the moment where the new goals of the era of SwingbyDAO were shared with the community. During this AMA multiple important topics were discussed such as token burn, 2022 roadmap, new team members introduction, old team members, and many more exciting announcements. The community participated asking very relevant questions that were clearly answered to them. In this post a summary of the main points discussed during the AMA will be shared.
Topics
Token burn:
The team decided to start a DAO proposal to burn 75 million Swingby tokens. This has the goal of increasing scarcity of the token, which has a direct relationship with token price. The tokens will be burnt once the DAO proposal gets passed.
Roadmap for 2022:
Skypools v1: On the 29th of March the first multichain DEX in the entire crypto space will be launched.
Addition of L2 bridge: After the launch of Skypools v1, the team is going to focus on the deployment of the bridge on many more L2. Allowing everybody to bridge their BTC to many more chains in a decentralized manner.
Partnerships: Swingby has the goal to expand their products to many more chains, which will lead towards developing new partnerships and collaborating with many more projects to make DeFi easier and more accessible for everybody.
Node Validators Incentive: Swingby is aware that the current node validators are suffering due to price volatility. Therefore we are looking into providing a server hosting service to reduce expenses to all people that choose to take part as a node validator.
Website Update: The launch of new products will attract many more users, which means that they will all be landing on our website. It is very important that the website is properly upto date and ready to deliver the most relevant information.
BSC Bridge deprecation:
The current BSC bridge is experiencing low transaction volume and it creates a lot of expenses for the DAO treasury. This bridge will be deprecated during the first days of April. Further details will be shared with the community soon.
New Team members:
In the month of March three new hires were done, all of them were part of the Swingby community. Two of them are very experienced senior crypto developers, with participation in very known projects like Gnosis, 0x and The Graph. The third hire is a Community manager, who has been in the crypto space for over 4 years, participating in multiple projects as investor and crypto project analyst.
Old Team members:
Many team members decided to move on from the project due to its transition to a DAO governance system. Among the people that left are developers, marketing managers and core team members. They decided to leave due to a reduction in salaries due to this transition to a DAO system where the treasury is controlled by the DAO members, and no longer by a single authoritarian person. These team members leaving Swingby gave space for our new hires to come in and bring in new energy and ideas to improve products and the project in general.
Developers Recruitment:
The team is currently looking for developers from the community that can collaborate with the development of the project. We are looking for people that can bring in positivity and commitment for the betterment of the project. If you are a developer and you are currently searching for a position, please contact us to
